Scope
This policy covers cookies, local storage and similar technologies that may be used on legroupew.com. It complements the Privacy policy and Terms of use.
A cookie is a small file stored by a browser. Local storage may retain information on a device without being a cookie. Server logs are distinct and may contain technical information such as an IP address, depending on the actual tools used.
Strictly necessary technologies
Necessary technologies may support security, request routing, session continuity where access is offered or technical operation. They must not be repurposed for unauthorized advertising.
Actual names, providers, purposes and periods must be verified against the live deployment. Presence or apparent absence of a tool in source code does not establish every hosting service’s practices.
Preferences, analytics and advertising
Optional preference, analytics, advertising and tracking tools must be assessed separately from strictly necessary functions. Where consent is required, they must not activate before a valid choice. Refusal or withdrawal must be as accessible as acceptance.
This policy does not announce an analytics or advertising integration, nor guarantee their absence without checking actual deployed tools and requests. Introducing one requires updated information and legally required choices.
Identification, location and profiling
Where technology includes functions identifying, locating or profiling an individual, its use and means to activate those functions must be disclosed. Settings must comply with applicable requirements, notably Québec law. General acceptance of site terms does not replace specific consent when required.
Retention and providers
Periods must be limited to documented technical purposes. Session cookies may expire when the browser closes; persistent cookies or local storage may remain until a defined expiry or deletion. No numerical period is represented as effective until the inventory is confirmed.
Providers, processing locations and transfers outside Québec remain subject to the Privacy policy, including required assessments and safeguards. Offices in Québec, North York and Rabat do not establish hosting locations.
Browser settings and your choices
You can inspect, block or delete cookies and site data in your browser settings. Apply choices separately to each device or browser. Deletion may reset preferences or a session.
Blocking a strictly necessary technology may affect the corresponding function; it does not justify imposing optional tracking. Browser controls do not replace consent mechanisms required of the operator by law.
External links
External sites, including ecosystem organizations, apply their own policies and may carry out separate processing when visited. A link does not imply Groupe W transmitted your information or that you consented to those technologies.

This policy must be updated as technologies or purposes change. Applicable requirements include the Québec private-sector privacy Act, including identification, location and profiling provisions. European tracker rules and GDPR must also be assessed where their scope is met.
